Services
Our services include Geotechnical, Water Resources, and Structural Engineering for projects located in all physiographic areas of North Carolina.
Geotechnical Engineering is a broad field of engineering dealing with soil and rock mechanics and soil-structure interaction. It encompasses the use of soils as an engineering material, the behavior of soil masses, interaction of soils with water, and interaction of soils with structures.
Water Resources Engineering is also a very broad category of
engineering. Two major divisions are hydrology and hydraulics.
Hydrology generally seeks to answer the questions: How much? Where?
When? and What quality? Hydraulics answers questions about moving water,
whether it is in a natural stream, a manufactured pipe, or other structure. Hydraulics answers questions like: How fast? How high?
Structural Engineering involves use of all other materials besides soil and in-situ rock in the construction of infrastructure. Most commonly in civil works, it deals with concrete and steel, independently, or in combination.
