| EasternNC Natural Gas Pipeline
Eddy Engineering, PC, prepared the Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP) for over 700 miles of natural gas pipeline in 14 eastern North Carolina counties. This pipeline system extends from the Outer Banks in Dare County to New Hanover County along the coast, and as far inland as Pitt County. The ESCPs have had to address pipeline installation through wetlands, across rivers, along developed highway right-of-ways, through agricultural lands, and even sound crossings.

| Croatan Wetland Mitigation Bank, Craven County
We performed the initial hydrologic studies, conceptual design, final design, construction stake-out, construction direction, and field engineering for this 4035-acre mitigation bank for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Now part of North Carolina's EEP, the project involved removing 13 miles of road, rendering 25 miles of ditching ineffective, and stabilizing 5.5 miles of road. Over 140,000 cubic yards of earth were moved, often in difficult, wet conditions. Close cooperation and planning brought this project to completion a year ahead of schedule. Follow-up monitoring shows successful restoration of hydrology.
