ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (CORRECTED FOR RCP DIAMETER):  Sealed bids (Single-Prime) will be received for the J. L. Frith #2 Dam Rehabilitation in Moore County, NC, by mail at Engineer's office (Eddy Engineering, P.C., 205 Spann Road, Trenton, NC 28585) until 5:00PM on May 12, 2010, or by hand delivery within one hour before the bid opening at 3:00PM on May 13, 2010, at the Carolina Equestrian Village Clubhouse (co-located with the community barn, at the corner of Palomino and Equestrian Lane, West End, NC).  Bidders must show evidence of licensure as a General Contractor in North Carolina for their bid to be considered.  The project includes primary spillway replacement using 42" diameter RCP, precast riser, and intermediate manhole.  Clearing and grubbing of approximately 2.0 acres, including trees on the slope of the dam is included.  The existing 36" CMP spillway barrel is to be grouted.

Bidding Documents can be obtained from Eddy Engineering, P.C., 205 Spann Road, Trenton, NC 28585, phone and fax 252-448-1888, by appointment or by mail beginning April 15, 2010.  Plan Deposit is $50 payable to Eddy Engineering, P.C.  There will be an optional Pre-Bid Meeting on site April 29, 2010, at 3:00PM.  Carolina Equestrian Village is a gated community and visiting the site outside of the Pre-Bid Meeting will require special arrangements.  As such, Pre-Bid attendance is strongly encouraged.  A limited number of bidding documents will be available at the Pre-Bid Meeting.  (Vicinity map included in the Bidding Documents).  Carolina Equestrian Village Landowners Association, Inc. reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities.
