ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: Sealed bids (Single-Prime) will be received
until 3:00 PM on May 20, at the Village of Whispering Pines, 10 Pine
Ridge Drive, Whispering Pines, NC 28327, for the Cardinal Lake Dam
Restoration and Water Management Project (Rebid), Moore County, NC, at
which time bids will be opened and read in the Council Chamber. Bidders
must show evidence of licensure as a General Contractor in North
Carolina for their bid to be considered. The project includes repair of
a small-size, high-hazard dam (NCDENR criteria), and repair of a
small-size, exempt dam for use as a forebay dam. The dam repairs
include installing a 72" diameter RCP and cast in-place reinforced
concrete spillway system, diversion and dewatering, and maintaining
irrigation water availability.
Bidding Documents can be obtained from the Village of Whispering Pines,
10 Pine Ridge Drive, Whispering Pines, NC 28327, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
beginning April 14, 2010. Plan Deposit $50. Optional Pre-Bid Meeting
on-site April 29, 2010 at 11 AM. (Vicinity map included in the Bidding
Documents). The Village of Whispering Pines reserves the right to
reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities.
